The function of the oxygen bypass is to allow a metered amount of oxygen to flow through the outer fire ring to achieve a more penetrating inside fire while the foot pedal is in the off position. The bypass can also be closed to allow the foot pedal to operate in its normal function.

* As a safety feature the gas lines are located 4 inches from the floor, the pedal’s bottom surface.
